Blog Wrap Up

Over the course of this assignment with the blogs posted to my website I learned so much about what really goes into blog posts and writing engaging blogs about my topic. To begin with I didn’t really think that it would be hard to write on the topic because it is cooking as a college student, but when I actually sat down to write them I realized that it is hard to make a compelling blog that people would want to read about. It was hard to come up with ideas that will catch people's eye, but the assignment that you had us do about the ten blog titles really helped me brainstorm some ideas that are good eye-catching topics. Writing the three blogs was so interesting because it really made me think a bit more critically about what I should write about, and it was also interesting to have AI be so prevalent in the writing the two that we used it for. I honestly really liked seeing the difference in the blogs and being able to compare the three in effort level, and seeing how my writing style comes through in the ones that I created. AI is something that is growing so fast, and it was so interesting to be able to use it for these blog posts because it was a way to see the difference in tone and language. For the ones that I wrote myself I saw my writing style really come through and see who I wanted my writing to be tailored to. It was interesting though to see how AI was able to mimic a lot of the same tone and speech that I would normally use.

The hardest part for me during this process was finding engaging topics, but after the topics were set that is where I was able to see the actual difference based on effort level. With the one that I wrote solely myself I was really focusing on the flow of the blog, and my language to sound more relatable to my audience. For the blog that was written by me and then edited by Chatgbt it was interesting to see it be reworked and rearranged. Although my first one was peer reviewed by a partner it was interesting to have AI be that editor for the second one because it was completely reworked by blog and it honestly had some good ideas and made it sound more professional. Finally, the last one written by AI was very much more professional, but it was interesting to see it work for me when I was specific with the way that I wanted it to sound.

Overall, these blog posts for this semester were very interesting and I learned a lot about all the complexities that go into blogs in order to be a successful, professional, and popular blog. It isn’t just about the content, but also so important to tailor to your niche and the audience you want to target.
